I guess I would define poverty as not having enough money for food or proper housing. I know others define it more loosely, but I see it as hitting rock bottom.
Poverty is not having enough to survive on.
That could mean not being able to afford winter clothes, a proper diet or shelter.
I think it's not having enough of anything that you truly need.
* What are some of the causes of poverty?
I think the most obvious reason for poverty is unemployment. It doesn't matter if the person was too lazy to get a job or if they lost it, it still creates poverty.
I think that a death in the family could easily cause poverty.
If my husband passed away, I would have trouble taking care of my children.
I think that's why he's careful to save some money every month.

Absolutely. Poverty is everywhere.
It seems like there's never enough work for everyone who needs it. It's always hurt me to know that children are suffering around that world because of poverty.
